A 3rd at the KZN U18 punched his ticket to the J-Bay Junior Pro. Now we need R45,000 to put him on the plane.
Khanya put together two of the cleanest heats we have seen from a junior this season at the KZN Provincial U18 in December. A third-place finish — his first real result at this level — also locked in his qualification slot for the J-Bay Junior Pro in July.
The qualification is the easy part. Getting him there is what we are now working on. R45,000 covers flights, accommodation for ten nights, the entry fee, coaching from Sipho on the ground, a backup board, and a small contingency for the small things (wax, food, transport from PE airport).
Every rand donated transfers into a ringfenced trip account in Khanya's name. Any overflow over the goal stays in his equipment fund — boards do not last forever, especially at competition level.
The deadline is hard: he flies on the 8th of July. We will publish a daily count once we are inside two weeks. If you can give, give now — the math is easier the more it spreads.
